Parallel Capital invests in Australian based businesses in the early stage of their development that are seeking capital to expand their operation. Often these businesses have recently secured contracts or customers that provide significant expansion opportunities but require further capital to take advantage of the opportunity.

Parallel Capital's investment criteria is determined by the various regulatory requirements surrounding an Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership which includes the relevant tax act, the venture capital act and Parallel Capitals investment plan.

Parallel Capital is prohibited from investing in the following sectors (however, it can invest in companies providing goods or services to these sectors):

• Property development or land ownership (including investing in passive income streams such as rent, dividends or interest)
• Banking, leasing, providing capital to others, leasing, factoring or securitisation
• Construction
• Insurance

Parallel Capital can invest in any other sector but is focusing on the following areas:

• IP and technology, software and hardware
• Services Businesses
• Media both traditional and new
• Consumer Products
• Asset Management Services

Parrallel Capital can invest into businesses with assets up to $50 million. Parallel Capital is seeking to make investments of between $500,000 to $3 million.
